Valerie Waddell joined the Law Firm of John & Morgan, P.C. as Of Counsel in March of 2024, bringing over two decades of dedicated experience in Criminal, Family, and Juvenile law. Her expertise focuses on representing clients with passion and conviction, particularly in complex family matters and criminal defense cases. Ms. Waddell frequently works with children and serves as the dedicated attorney for the Juvenile Mental Health Court.

Before joining the firm, Ms. Waddell founded The Law Office of Valerie H. Waddell in Sugar Land, Texas, in 2024. Prior to that, she spent twenty-two years at Bastine & Associates, a respected boutique law firm, where she progressed from an associate attorney to a non-equity partner. During her tenure there (2002-2024), she handled her own caseload and was responsible for training newer attorneys. A notable achievement includes securing a not guilty jury verdict on a thirteen-count fraud indictment in the 149th Judicial District Court of Brazoria County in 2012.

Before embarking on her legal career, Ms. Waddell gained valuable experience teaching at a public high school for two years.
